E-visa will be enforced in November for student visa of Australia

E-visa will be enforced in November for student visa of Australia

In future, there will be no need to send you application documents to Adelaide Offshore Processing Center for your student visa application. E-visa is currently on trial test in mainland China, according to the design purpose of system, student visa application will be put on express road.

Currently, average assessment time for applicant in China is about 12 weeks. If E-visa can be enforced successfully, assessment will be speeded up greatly. In the trial test, DIMIA will choose 9 education agencies that specialized on oversea study consultation to cooperate in test trial of E-visa operation system.

E-visa is connecting education consultation agency with DIMIA and Australia education provider of student through Internet and special computer program installed by DIMIA to complete visa application.

The biggest advantage of E-visa is saving application time. Formerly average application time is 4 months, the long assessment period requires applicants to lodge application very early which affects their preparation for related documents and quality of application. Also student will be anxious in their long time waiting and can’t do related preparation for their oversea study. E-visa will reduce assessment time greatly, at the same time, it will save the high cost of post and telephone inquiry.

E-visa will be enforced widely in most Australia government recognized education consultation agency in November, but it still can’t be available to individual applicants at current stage.
